Led and organized by Ms. Cherry Cruz from the Utilities Management of Carmelray Industrial Corporation, the Sunset River Fun Run was held at The Mills Country Club with a total number of 613 runners. Participants were from various locator employees within the vicinity, which included Bayer, San Miguel and Coca-Cola to name a few.

BOOKATHON FUN RUN

Montessori House of Learning (MHL) in cooperation with The Mills Country Club held a Bookathon Fun Run 2011 at Morningfields with over 200 participants.

At 5:15 in the morning, participants were gathered to do the warm up excercises. Singing of the National Anthem and Oath taking were led by one of the students of MHL.

The participants were taken inside the successful developments of Carmeltown in Canlubang, Calamba City, Laguna. These developments include the Industrial Center – Carmelray Industrial Park I, a Residential Community – Morningfields and a Recreational Center – The Mills Country Club.

Race Categories include 1 km, 2.5 km, 5km and 500-m dash for the pre-schoolers.

The students and parents also enjoyed the after-run activities at The Mills Country Club.

The Mills Country Club is indeed a wonderful place. Inspired by the Canlubang Sugar Estate, every part of The Mills Country Club reminds one of the old days when Canlubang was at the height of its glory. While everyone strives to work hard, one sill submits to the ultimate relaxation beyond the usual.

The success of the event was manifested by the appreciative and happy faces of the guests and visitors who attended the blessing of The Mills Country Club last November 10, 2009. There were three hundred guests who attended, composed of friends and business partners. After the ribbon cutting ceremony, everyone had the chance to be toured around the place and had a glimpse of the club’s facilities. The highlight of the event was a music-synchronized fireworks display created by one of the award-winning pyrotechnic artists in the country.
